ECO MagazineSupports Future Generationsof Ocean Experts

ECO Magazine (Environment, Coastal and Offshore) has announced a new media partnership with the 2020 International Conference for YOUNG Marine Researchers (ICYMARE), an event designed to support young marine researchers.

By sharing thought-provoking stories written by members of the international ocean community, ECO Magazine helps scientists and professionals showcase the latest research and identify opportunities for collaboration. Contributors include researchers, NGO staff, government employees and industry members, covering topics from coastal science to deep-sea exploration.

“The ocean community is global, and we understand both the importance and challenge of profiling important research, leading fieldwork and emerging opportunities for scientific collaboration,” said Kira Coley, ECO Magazine’s senior editor. “Platforms such as ECO, bolstered by strategic partnerships, allow our contributors to connect with a highly targeted and increasingly international readership.”

ECO Magazine recently announced a number of high-profile editorial partnerships for 2020 providing readers with exclusive content from the American Academy of Underwater Sciences (AAUS), the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) of UNESCO in support of the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development, and Frontiers in Marine Science, the world’s largest and fastest-growing marine science journal.

Coley adds, “For early career researchers in particular, this is a fantastic opportunity for them to stay informed on emerging areas in ocean science as well as promote their own research which can lead to jobs, funding and collaboration.”
