Call for Workshops
The Call for Workshops for ICYMARE 2026 BREMEN is now open! Submit your workshop proposal by June 30, 2026.
You've given the talks, you've presented the posters – now it’s time to take your conference experience to the next level at ICYMARE 2026 BREMEN. We invite you to host your own workshop and share your expertise with the ICYMARE community.
Hosting a Workshop at ICYMARE?
ICYMARE is an accessible marine science conference created for students and early-career researchers. Alongside talks and posters, workshops are a core part of ICYMARE and create space for hands-on learning and exchange in addition to traditional presentation formats.
By hosting a workshop at ICYMARE 2026 BREMEN, you can share a skill or idea you are passionate about. This also allows you to gain first-hand teaching experience and actively shape the conference program. Workshops can focus on scientific methods, interdisciplinary topics, career skills, or creative approaches to marine science and academia. Both experienced facilitators and first-time workshop hosts are welcome
Workshop Format
- Workshops can run for up to four hours. Please aim for at least three hours of active program.
- Formats may include interactive discussions, hands-on training, group work, or simulations. Workshops are not the right format for frontal presentations.
- Innovative and experimental formats are welcome, as long as they actively engage participants.
- Your workshop should be adaptable to both small and larger groups.
