Arrival and Transport

If you want to get to the ICYMARE 2024 BREMEN conference then there are several ways to get there. Here, we will explain how…

ARRIVAL IN BREMEN

For international travellers, Bremen offers convenient transportation options. The city has its own international airport Bremen Airport (BRE), providing easy access to the city centre or Bremen Hauptbahnhof (Central Station) via tram or taxi.

Another option is Hamburg Airport (HAM), which is approximately 130 km from Bremen. Regular public transportation services connect Hamburg Airport to Bremen.

If you are arriving in Bremen by train or (Flix-)bus, Bremen Hauptbahnhof (Central Station) is conveniently located near the city centre. From this central transportation hub, you can effortlessly reach different destinations in Bremen – and, of course, the conference venue – using buses or trams. Taxis are also readily available next to the Central Station to take you wherever you need. Additionally, rental bikes and e-scooters are at your disposal throughout the city.
